A Conversation with Pastor Sam

What advice would you give someone looking for a church in Warner?

Determine what attributes you are looking for in a local church. Visit area churches until you find the one that best meets your needs as an individual or as a family. I suggest a church that preaches and teaches the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God. The Bible is our road map for life providing real answers and relevant solutions in today’s world. Next, it’s important to find a church where you can belong, become a member, and truly connect with others.

If I attend Warner First Baptist Church Sunday morning, what should I expect?

You should expect to be welcomed into our church with a bright smile and a friendly handshake.  Sunday School Small Groups starts at 9:30 am and we have a class for every age and every member of your family.  Before worship, you’ll find us in The Gathering (a fancy name for foyer) building friendships while enjoying a cup of coffee or sitting together visiting.  Morning Worship begins at 10:50 am with a blend of hymns and praise songs followed by a message from God’s Word.

What will everyone else be wearing?

Dress in the manner you feel most comfortable.  We’re relaxed but respectful when it comes to what we wear.  Our pastor usually dresses business casual in slacks and a dress shirt.  Men will be in jeans or casual dress slacks and one or two might be wearing a coat and tie.  The attire for the women ranges from jeans to slacks to skirts, with an occasional dress every now and then.

Is there a place for me at Warner First Baptist Church?

We have a place for each and every person God brings through our doors!  Our bible study classes, small groups, and places to serve are always in need of new members.  Our goal is to help you find your giftedness and employ you in the environment best suited to use your gifts for the glory of God.

How can I learn more about First Baptist?

The first and best way to learn more about FBC Warner is to attend one of our services.  Get to know the people, worship with us, and have a cup of coffee while relaxing in The Gathering.  You’ll find we’re anxious to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.  Most importantly, we want you to know how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
