UPDATE FOR JANUARY 15, 2022

I just wanted to give everyone an update on the plan for tomorrow!

As many of you know our school has been hit pretty hard with several staff out for COVID and or/Flu illnesses, as well as many students. And since we have many church members and students connected to the school, it has impacted our church family. So, tomorrow morning we will NOT have Sunday School/Small Groups due to several teachers dealing with illnesses. We are going to go ahead and have our Morning Worship Service at 10:50AM.

Obviously, if you are not feeling well or you do not feel comfortable coming because of the recent surge of COVID/Flu in our town, please stay home and watch our service online.

We are also going to move our start date of our Sunday Evening Life Groups to next Sunday, January 23rd at 5:30PM.

If any of you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me! And please continue to pray for those who are currently sick.

                                                                       UPDATE FOR JANUARY 11, 2022

Warner First Baptist Church family, as you may know COVID-19 is once again surging in our state. Area schools and our own church body are dealing with several cases of COVID-19. We want to make an effort to give space and time for the health of our community. So, we are canceling ALL church related activities until Sunday January 16th. The plan is to gather for normal Sunday services this coming Sunday. We will see you then.

We are aware of the rise of COVID in our community. At this time we are going to continue with our regular schedule. As always, if you are running a fever or are not feeling well; please stay home. In the coming days, once we see what the school’s policy will be, we will be making our plan and procedure for our church for the Fall. Once we get this developed, we will make it available to you.

                                                                       UPDATE FOR JANUARY 7, 2021

As many of you know our church family has been impacted by this horrible virus. We have had and currently have members and family members of our church family in the hospital receiving treatment. Join me in praying for all of those who are battling with the virus and their families.

We continue to monitor the situation and want to balance the safety of our church family with our desire to resume the in-person activities of the church.

For this Sunday, January 10th, we will continue with our online service only. We will resume our in-person worship service on Sunday, January 17th. Please note we will not have Sunday school. We will make a decision regarding Sunday school, Sunday and Wednesday evening activities very soon. We are prayerful that these precautions will help slow the spread of the virus and enable us to return to our more normal schedule in the near future.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation in our church family. If there is a need for further modifications to our schedule we will communicate as quickly as decisions are made.

These are the following protocols we are ENCOURAGING everyone to continue to take part in:

• Wear a mask while entering the sanctuary and please only sit with members of your household.
• Once you are seated if you feel comfortable to remove your mask you can do so.
• Wear a mask while leaving the sanctuary.

Please share this information with members who may not be on social media. I am looking forward to seeing you all on January 17th!

                                                                       UPDATE FOR DECEMBER 10, 2020

As you know, my goal as well as the goal of your deacons is to do all we possibly can to care for our church family well, and protect the most vulnerable and susceptible to this virus. Part of caring for you well is communicating well. 

With that in mind, we wanted to update you concerning some things that have transpired over the last week. The situation is ever evolving and rapidly changing. As a church, we are being forced to make some incredibly difficult decisions, and we want to keep you in the loop every step of the way. We have had more members receive a positive COVID test result. Our community overall is seeing an increase in positive cases. I pray you will take the time to prayerfully read through this update and join us in coming together during this challenging time.

First and foremost, the church must respond with great faith and great wisdom. It is absolutely important that we do not panic and we do not fear. Yes, there are reasons to be concerned and make good decisions, but we must lead the way in showing the world how to trust God with a hope that is tied to a Kingdom not of this world. Brothers and sisters, fear not and rest in the Lord.
 
Second, at this point we are moving to online worship services only, It is important that we help stop the spread of this awful virus, but also important that we find intentional ways to remain in community with one another. Please know that we will do everything we can to safely connect as the body of Christ. We are also aware of how this impacts our Christmas Cantata and other planned activities. But we feel it is better to be wise under these difficult circumstances.

Third, we want to streamline as much information as possible. Look for the latest updates on our church website at www.warnerfbc.org, or on our church Facebook page, FBC Warner. Please reach out to those who are not online and active on social media.

Fourth, it is so important at this time that the church remain faithful in our giving. Thankfully, we live in a day and age where giving to the Lord and His church is easier than it’s ever been. There are three ways you can currently give:

    2. You can personally deliver your tithe to the church office during
         business hours
    3. You can give online at www.warnerfbc.org/give/
 
Ministry is needed more than ever and your faithful giving will be able to help us continue to do that during these challenging times. Let me add this though, you should feel no guilt if you cannot give at this time. If the Lord has blessed you and you are able to give generously, then please do so. We recognize many are hurting and will struggle in the days to come, and we are asking the Lord to richly bless what is given. We desire to continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our church family and our community.

Please keep praying with us for God to be glorified as He revives His Church and awakens this world through the power of the Gospel. Pray for all medical personnel serving on the front lines. Pray for all those infected with the coronavirus. Pray for God to heal our land.

UPDATE FOR NOVEMBER 17, 2020

Dear Warner FBC Family, I think we would all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other. After meeting with the Deacons, I just wanted to take a few moments and give you an update on some protocols we are going to encourage all adults to take part in over the next few weeks. Parents will be responsible for the decision of whether or not children will follow these requests. With the number of cases of COVID-19 increasing in our area, and with the holiday season approaching we want to do our part when it comes to protecting our families. Please understand these are not easy decisions, and we are not wanting to overreact while at the same time we cannot pretend nothing is happening. I also understand there will be some who are not going to agree with these requests, while at the same time others will be relieved. None of us have lived through a pandemic, and I have never pastored through a pandemic. So please understand I am doing the best I can to help us navigate through this new territory.

We encourage you to clean your hands at one of our hand sanitizer stations and practice good social distancing. We are really encouraging everyone to refrain from physical touch. This will be hard, but we are simply trying to minimize any exposure and prevent potential spread of the virus.

Unfortunately, masks have been a controversial issue. This should not be the case, especially among God’s people. We MUST show grace and kindness to one another, regardless of a personal view. We are not requiring masks to be worn at this time, but we are encouraging those who would like to wear them to do so. The staff/deacons will be wearing masks during greeting times and times of closer interaction, but we will not be wearing them on the stage or requiring them to be worn during the worship services. If you choose not to wear a mask, please do not make someone feel badly who is wearing one. Likewise, if you choose to wear a mask, please do not make someone feel badly who is not wearing one. GRACE, GRACE, and more GRACE must be shown and given. We will not be a church that lets a mask divide us. Let’s be a shining example of how to treat and love one another.

These are the following protocols we are ENCOURAGING adults to take part in:

· Practice social distancing during our Small Groups on Sunday morning.
· Wear a mask while entering the sanctuary and please only sit with members of your household.
· Once you are seated if you feel comfortable to remove your mask you can do so.
· Wear a mask while leaving the sanctuary.
· We will also have every other pew closed.

I believe it is crucial to pay extra attention to our COVID-19 protocols during this time. This is for the safety of our church family. Masks will be available if you do not have one.
